The story began in 2011, when The Beach Bar wanted exciting Friday night entertainment and the talented youth from Wan Smol Bag Theatre were looking for a place to showcase their new skills. It was the perfect match, and the beginning of something extraordinary.
Since then, the group — many of whom were previously unemployed — have grown in skill, confidence and popularity. Today, you’ll see them performing small versions of their show at resorts around Vila, but the Friday Night Fire Show at The Beach Bar remains their true home and the only place to experience the full, breathtaking performance.
After the show, feel free to chat with the performers, grab a photo or even challenge them to a friendly game of pool.
The show itself is a high‑energy blend of choreographed fire dancing using staff, poi and fans, mixed with contemporary and traditional music, plus plenty of surprises. It’s fun for all ages, and the finale invites you to join the troupe on the beach for a dance — the perfect way to end the night.
The show is free, but donations are warmly appreciated. You won’t find anything like this anywhere else in the Pacific, so you can decide what the experience is worth. Table bookings are essential. Seating from 5:30pm.
